Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Lintel Hub ("Lintel Hub," "we," "our," or "us") provides home inspection software available at lintel.ink. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, phone number, and license information you choose to provide. Authentication is handled by Clerk, Inc. We do not store passwords directly.
2.2 Inspection data
Information you enter while using the Service, including property addresses, inspection findings, client names and contact details, photos, reports, and pricing information.
2.3 Agent relationship data
Contact information for real estate agents you add to your account, including name, email, phone, and brokerage. Referral history and revenue attribution.
2.4 Usage data
Log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this to improve the Service and diagnose issues.
2.5 Photos
Photos you upload during inspections are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 infrastructure. Photos are associated with your account and accessible only to you and parties you share reports with.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Generate and deliver inspection reports to clients and agents
- Send transactional emails (report delivery, agent thank-you notifications)
- Process your account and manage authentication
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve the Service based on usage patterns
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data. We do not use your inspection data for advertising purposes. We do not share your client or agent contact information with third parties except as described below.
4. How we share your information
4.1 Service providers
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service, including:
- Clerk, Inc. — authentication and user management
- Neon, Inc. — database hosting (PostgreSQL)
- Cloudflare, Inc. — file storage, CDN, and DNS
- Resend, Inc. — transactional email delivery
Each provider is bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
4.2 Report recipients
When you deliver an inspection report, the report is shared with the client and agent email addresses you specify. Public report links are accessible to anyone with the link.
4.3 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel your account, your inspection reports remain accessible at their public links for 90 days, after which they are deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time by emailing privacy@lintel.ink.
6. Data security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
- Role-based access controls — your data is isolated to your account
- Daily database backups
- Authentication managed by Clerk with multi-factor authentication support
No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data (available directly in the app under Settings)
- Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
9. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
